It is also possible to replace the EAD if it contains incorrect information or if it is stolen or lost. For that to be possible, you may have to file a new Form I-765 and also pay a filing fee. There are certain categories of eligibility where there is no charge for biometric services or for a fee waiver for your base rate or biometric fee. When you want to obtain an employment authorization document, you must request it. You can request it for permission to accept a job or for its renewal.
Applying for an EAD is not difficult but make sure you have all necessary documents and funds to pay the filing fee if applicable. If you want to be legally authorized to work in the United States, you must be a citizen or permanent resident or obtain an EAD.
